What is 'ENVY'???
ENVY
According to Google, Envy is "desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable thing belonging to (someone else)".
Often, people feel this weird thing, for example: If a friend goes for an outing and you have stayed back at home, due to some work. It always feels we're left off, we can call it "FOMO". We often envy such situations. The feeling of being missed out or wanting the same lifestyle as others, can be termed envy.
By giving a psychological view to this topic, envying is normal in the current world. The intensity of this feeling may differ from person to person, but the feeling is always present in every individual.
Envy can sometimes be good, as it helps you to build yourself upto their level of lifestyle or maybe even more and achieve great things in life, but sometimes it can turn out to be a horrible nightmare.
If the same feeling goes off the road, it leads to lack of concentration, disturbance in mental peace, reduction in social interaction, negative outlook towards positive things. It diverts you from your goals and makes you focus on others life more than your own life.
Sometimes all you need to do is, do what u feel is right and don't compare yourself with others. Everyone has their own path to success. If you feel your path contains too many obstacles, then congrats your definitely on the right path. Because "Difficult road often leads to beautiful destination". So trust in yourself, what's meant for you is ahead. Don't give up, giving up is easy, but holding on and going ahead without losing hope makes you stronger and better than before.
So, are you envious sometimes?
What is your take-away from this?
Do you feel jealous or happy when the person close to you get's better opportunities?
